We can disable them. I kept them because they make it possible to resync
the repository. But if we decide to switch in one go, we don't need them.

git-buildpackage is actually really easy to use. Much easier than
svn-buildpackage, in my opinion. Just do git-import-orig on the tarball
(after renaming it).

But since you're doing most of the work with the lyx packages these
days, I think you should decide if and when we should switch to git.
