IMHO we should release squeeze and then continue with 2.0.0something/beta/rc
early next year. I won't touch anything != RC due to time constraints this
year anyway but that shouldn't hold someone else back from preparing 1.6.8
or 2.0.0something for experimental if he feels like doing so.
I don't see any value to continue with 1.6.x releases for unstable so deep
in the freeze. With a LyX 2.0.0 release around the corner I think we should
help and and distribute that via unstable as early as possible to help upstream
to get a solid release done because we're at that point far away from
the squeeze+1 release.
