Here's what I get:

pelle at piglet:~/tmp/réunion$ tex2lyx -f test.tex test.lyx
Creating file /home/pelle/tmp/réunion/test.lyx
pelle at piglet:~/tmp/réunion$ ls
test.lyx  test.tex

Look at the output from tex2lyx. Strange. Yet it works.
