[Pkg-lyx-devel] Is lyx on Debian Jessie broken?

On jessie, lyx (2.1.2-2) appears to be broken. When starting up it
complains that a "text class can not be found" and offers an option to
"reconfigure", but the "reconfigure" also fails.

I do have latex installed, a full install of texlive.

I have used lyx on debian succesfully in the past. Just wondering if anyone
is aware of these issues? Or is it just something wrong with my system.
