We  used to rent a beach house in OBX for  a week.  There was a kind of an implied rule. If  you  cooked,  then after dinner you hang out and drink wine. If you didn't  cook, then you cleaned or did dishes after dinner. She came one year and did not cook or clean.  She kept saying  I  don't  know what we are  going  to do after  we get married, since I don't  know how to cook or  clean.

One time she told me in front of him,  that she made more money than him, which I thought was a bit rude. This past year, he has gotten laid off  and when I visited them, she brought  up  their money problems a  few time. I felt like her bringing these  things up embarrassed him.

They have  twin  boys that are 2. He  loves  her. I think overall it works for them.
