I do not think so. The patch in ftp://ftp.mars.org/pub/mpeg/contrib/ for
enabling ALSA support for madplay 0.15.1b with the ALSA version 1.0.2c
is dated Feb 20, 2004. This patch is already included in 0.15.2b. I only
build with the newest ALSA version available in Debian to see if it
works and it works.
