Yes, that would clear things up a lot. I thought perhaps I was missing
something. I have been using ath0.

Thanks for the reference. Also, the most recent Subversion snapshot
seems to require a wlanconfig call to map wifi0 to ath0. How do you
think you're going to handle that? (Rhetorical question: I'll find out
;-)
