Hi,
I've upgraded my Debian / testing this morning, and since there was a
new madwifi-source, try to install it :
m-a prepare && m-a a-i madwifi
Everything is ok. But if I try to reload the module ath_pci :
WARNING: Error inserting ath_rate_sample
(/lib/modules/2.6.17-2-k7/kernel/drivers/net/ath_rate_sample.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
FATAL: Error inserting ath_pci
(/lib/modules/2.6.17-2-k7/kernel/drivers/net/ath_pci.ko): Unknown symbol
in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
And dmesg is full of
[...]
ath_pci: Unknown symbol ieee80211_mark_dfs
ath_pci: disagrees about version of symbol ieee80211_chan2ieee
[...]
I don't paste all dmesg, it's already known.
I verified that gcc is the same as the one used to compile the kernel (I
used Debian provided kernel), I check that there is no older module kept
in a path that modprobe checks. I even clean all, and rebuild, but when
I run modprobe.. fails !
Does anyone got an idea ?
