Should I file a bug?

Hi,

I have a quick question about madwifi on Debian (didn't want to file a
bug). The wifi led indicator is not working on my t42p. I tried this
instructions:

It seems the driver needs to be compiled with -DSOFTLED. I was wondering
if Debian will compile with that option and, if not, how could I enable
it?
