Package: madwifi-source
Version: 1:0.9.4+r3772.20080716-1
Severity: important
My WiFi card is a D-Link DWL-G650 (PCMCIA). lspci -v gives :
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212/AR5213 Multiprotocol MAC/baseband processor (rev 01)
Subsystem: D-Link System Inc Device 3a12
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 168, IRQ 10
Memory at d4000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
Kernel driver in use: ath_pci
Kernel modules: ath5k, ath_pci
Doing a aptitude update is extremely slow (30-40 KB/s). I haven't tried too much with this version but it seems to be the very same behaviour as the
n-1 version, transfer stops during aptitude safe-upgrade after a few MB have been downloaded.
I went back to version n-2 which is OK. Don't know the exact version number, the package built by module-assistant is called
madwifi-modules-2.6.25-2-686_0.9.4~rc2-1+2.6.25-6_i386.deb
I'm using wpa-psk on my WiFi AP, and I'm using IPv6.
