[Pkg-mc-devel] Bug#484759: removed syntax files cause error messages when opening files in mcedit

Do you mean this files are NOT MORE in the Package?
Curently I have only Mail-Access to the internet but can you check

dpkg -L mc |grep "/syntax/"

and of course:

> the syntax files
> > /usr/share/mc/syntax/debian-changelog.syntax
> > /usr/share/mc/syntax/debian-control.syntax
> > /usr/share/mc/syntax/debian-sources-list.syntax

This files are here installed, but

> >Error in file /home/user/.mc/cedit/Syntax on line 120

this file is definitivly not from mc but created by hand from you

You should check your handmade Syntax file.  Or if you can not solv it
send the /home/user/.mc/cedit/Syntax file and let us analyze it.
