OK, found the original Bug-Report...

Again:  if you add a file to an archive, MC is copying  the  file  to  a
temporary file and then it will  be  added  to  the  archive.  BUT,  the
temporay files does not have the original timestamp and will beadded  to
the archive with a false time.

Because the plugins for the VFS does not know the original  location  of
the file it can never detect the original timestamp.

This is definitively an error in mc and not in any VFS.

Unfortunately I am currently "homeless" (searching for a new appartement
in Germany since France kicked me off definitively)  and  can  not  have
access to my development station or any other material, so  currently  I
can not help more.
