Works for me now and my patch is merged upstream. Will be in 4.7.5 and
4.7.0.10.

Will mark as released when the package hits Debian. If still doesn't
work for you change the status of the bug.

** Changed in: mc (Ubuntu)

Status in “mc” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed

Bug description:
Binary package hint: mc

dch is a tool for editing a debian/changelog, when I run it in Ubuntu for first time, it showed me a list of available text editors, and I choose mcedit.
dch works as expected with mcedit for "dch -i" and "dch -n", but with "dch -e" mcedit shows a blank document instead of debian changelog to be edited.
