So it has clearly nothing to do with mc. Gnome people must have broken
it. I will re-assign it to gnome-terminal then.

I tried to switch on/off both of the keyboard shortcut settings in
gnome-terminal, but none of the 4 variations let me use the F10 for
quitting mcedit or mc.
