Title:
mc and gnome-terminal, F10 key conflict

Status in “mc” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: mc

mc and gnome-terminal do not cooperate on the F10 key.

I launch mc in a gnome-terminal window. The F10 key should act with
mc, but drops the file menu in the gnome-terminal. F10 in midnight
  commander is the Exit function.

When I call the Exit function in mc via the "other means", Exit works properly.
  I press Esc + 0.
