My apologies for overlooking this sloppy upstream transition.

This issue has been reported already and the update is pending.

lynx-like motion has been moved to 

  [Options]-->[Panel Options]-->[Navigation]

A note will be issued with the updated upload of mc 3:4.8.1-2
(we wasn't aware of this issue until it has been reported several hours ago.)
