Package: mc
Version: 3:4.8.3-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
when uploading/download files over FTP, mc seems change the working directory by itself and in a very unexpected way.
Example and steps to reproduce:
Hit META+c and type ftp://ftp.debian.org
When connected, navigate to the debian directory
Using F5 copy the README file to the other panel (local directory)
Hit CTRL+r in the FTP panel
Now the FTP panel only shows the parent debian folder (however, mc still thinks it is inside the debian folder)
Move on the displayed debian folder and hit ENTER, mc says it's unable to change the working directory
This also (and more importantly happens) when uploading files, then mc very often refreshes the folder content with the wrong content by itself.
This makes multiple uploads to an FTP site nearly impossible and seriously breaks the FTP functionality.
Thank you.
