Not quite, I prefer English only...
I still have access to one windows machine where they use 1251 and what I got 
with "mount -t cifs" and vfs-smb was very different...

I do not test MC with RU locale.

Neither do I, but I thought for somebody vfs-smb could be handy to browse SMB 
share... For a moment I'm not too sure if it is worth enabling.
