But trash bin does not prevent accidental deletions!
It merely helps to recover from accidental deletions. :)
I think it might be a valid suggestion but of little value. Personally I've lost no files due to
accidental deletions in the last decade or longer.
Also arguably trash bin could already be implemented in the file system...
Anyway normally such feature requests belong to upstream projects but on this instance
upstream already commented...
