Package: mdadm
Version: 2.4.1-5
Severity: normal

Hello,

The postinst script in mdadm fails if there is no kernel support for
raid, or that loading the md module fails (not present or any other
errors).
Arguably, mdadm is not very usefull on a system without raid, but I
think it should be installable nevertheless, should the need for it
arise later in the life of the system for instance.

Simply ignoring the return code from modprobe on line 13 fixes it (eg
adding "|| true"), and seems consistent with what's already there for
its output.

Regards,
