Given that mdadm now uses mdadm.conf and the device names are thus
predictable and that you can use filesystem labels on the kernel
command line anyway, I will not fix this bug.

I will consider well-tested patches that implement the functionality
in a predictable and non-complex way.

I shall close this bug when Neil committed the patch about
online/offline events to the kernel tree and it trickled into
Debian.
