Sorry to reply to my own post, but either this patch is missing or there is
another issue.  mdadm segfaulted while trying to bring up my arrays in the
initramfs.

I can't paste from the server, so I'll just type in the relevant sections.
md1 is my boot partition.

Begin: Assembling all MD arrays ...
md: md1 stopped
mdadm[1013]: segfault at 00000000 eip 08052bc2 esp bffdbe10 error 4
Segment violation
Failure : failed to assemble all arrays.
