Package: mdadm
Version: 2.6.7.1-1
Severity: minor

Hello,

the mdadm initramfs local-top script uses `modprobe --syslog', which is
quite useless, since an initramfs-environment has no syslog.

/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/mdadm: if modprobe --syslog "$module"; then

Most other scripts of this type use `modprobe -q' - depending on the
initial intention of using --syslog this could be an alternative.
