Package: mdadm
Version: 2.6.7.2-1
Severity: normal
Cron surprised me with a mail with the following subject (line split):
Cron <root at elrond> [ -x /usr/share/mdadm/checkarray ] &&
[ $(date +%d) -le 7 ] &&
/usr/share/mdadm/checkarray --cron --all --quiet
and the following body (line split):
/usr/share/mdadm/checkarray: line 167:
echo: write error: Device or resource busy
Background info:
The system has one SATA and one PATA disk.
The PATA disk, which has the RAID volume, was transplanted from another box
where it was the primary disk with one partition in a RAID1 with a second
PATA disk with LVM on top.
Now it's a secondary disk (as a temporary solution because I replaced the
server after the 2nd PATA disk died) and the remaining RAID1 is degraded.
The LVs in the RAID are not even mounted by default.
