Well, this does not help much.

Anyway, I think the current behavour is right.

Mdadm package installation procedure ensures that some email
address gets configured in mdadm.conf (there's a debconf
question about it and the address defaults to root).  It is
possible to remove the configuration item, but that's entirely
up to the user ofcourse.

Do you agree it's okay to close this bug?
