Scanning unknown block devices can have ugly side effects,
e.g. when using drbd. On the standby the partition looks
idle, but it is not.
Would it be possible to provide a way to suppress
the unwanted scan at install/reconfigure time?
Please reopen; this issue is still unresolved.
