Package: mdadm
Version: 3.2.5-5
Severity: normal

Hi.

CCing Neil, as he might share some wisdom here :)

Perhaps I'm just plain dumb or I don't now... ;)

It seems that when creating/assembling devices, the create entry from
mdadm.conf, which in debian happens to be:
CREATE owner=root group=disk mode=0660 auto=yes
per default, seem to be ignored, on the devices themselves.

I can set what I want, this get's applied to the /dev/md/ directory
but the devices always get:
root:disk rw-rw---T

I tried
export MDADM_NO_UDEV=1
as well... but no change.

Do I expect something wrong... or is some Debian udev black magic in between?

Cheers,
Chris
