I've got some remarks from Xaiki and improvements are work in
progress. Upload to experimental is then delayed a bit.

Some fixes were backported from this version to the 1.4 branch today,
plus some other fixes (some which need to be ported to 1.5).

I think the 1.4 branch is in a good state, leaving ppl with a nicely
working software and no hurry for upgrade. 1.4.13-2 should be the last
1.4 upload, except for security fixes.
