[Pkg-mediawiki-devel] Bug#349744: mediawiki: Not configurable by default on installation

Package: mediawiki
Version: 1.4.14-1
Severity: important

I've installed mediawiki before outside of the context of Debian. Doing it
this time, it looked like it should be much the same (ie after installation,
go to URL, configuration will be written out, copy to correct directory).
However, when going to the config page I was told that it was already
configured (it has never been installed on this machine before). To get it
to configure, I had to remove the LocalSettings.php and AdminSettings.php
symlinks in /var/lib/mediawiki, configure it, copy them into /etc/mediawiki
and readd the symlinks.
