Well, given that your bug is the kid of use that we would never hava had in 
real life -- installing 1.7-math module and 1.5 main at the same time is not 
really intersting isn't it?, and that we indeed will have to handle such a 
stupid bug tagged serious by a new upload and a backport of the changes to 
the forthcoming 1.8 package, I would say that the main waste of ressource 
does not really came from us today...
