Thank for your work, it feels really good to see things improving !!

I have a comment about the URL for the mediawiki extensions fetched from 
mediawiki's svn. You should use the tagged url of the form:
  http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/tags/REL1_15_3/extensions
(btw this probably neeeds to be REL1_15_4 now..)

It already hapenned in the past that an extension from the trunk/ became 
unusable because of a API change in the thunk code of mediawiki..

Appart from that, I am very impressed to see the check_version.pl script being 
fixed/improved. Perl really is a write-only language so being able to transmit 
a code is a good sign :)
