Why not add another @ in front of the @ you added, just in case the
first one wasn't enough to stop that error?
Your fix doesn't make sense.

You haven't opened a bug upstream, and not even provided the error
message you're "fixing".
I'm not saying that error message wasn't there, but for all I know, it
could be more a php bug than MediaWiki. Or it could have been by an
interaction with fusionforge (quite unlikely, though, unless it
triggered a php bug). :S
