We are not silent; in fact there have been several eMails about it.

This is the first time I read about 1.23 being an intended LTS,
nobody told about it beforehand. If this is indeed the case, I’d
want to prepare an upload to stable with the most recent fixes
from the source packages (mw and mw-extensions) in sid, then bump
the packages to 1.23 and upload to experimental at least. There
*is* that issue with MW extensions being no longer available via
svn though, which basically invalidates the entire existing pak‐
kaging of it (unless we import that git to svn) because it relies
on integer revision tracking. (I’m not too fond of it personally
as it’s highly complex, but doing things anew that work is very
time-consuming with very little outcome – although I do have a
general/rough idea how we could handle the upstreams… but not the
other existing features such as the name, package, basedir, link
fields of the svn-revisions file.
