I have no particular attachment to the severity; in one sense the bug seemed
to me to be "wishlist", so I just sort of split the difference. :)  But if
you think it should be upgraded to important, go ahead.

My main purpose was to split the bug report, because I'm preparing an NMU
that will address the RC aspect of this bug report (broken shlibs), but
fixing the other is non-trivial due to the maintainer's home-grown system
for installing files into packages.
