Yes, but note that this isn't so much a bug as a missing feature.

Yes, the r300 driver doesn't support point sizes > 1 but fails to
advertise this. AFAICT this is still the case upstream. Please consider
filing a report upstream at http://bugs.freedesktop.org if you care
about getting this fixed.
