Greetings!

I have submitted a patch to the BTS that enables libapache2-mod-mono.
The patch is quite intrusive, because I found the current build system
to be lacking in several ways. It was, IMHO, not easy enough to
understand, and it didn't stretch and scale in all directions :)

That said, kudos to everyone that has previously touched the package!

The patch does several things, such as introduce a watch file, rename
files in debian/ to be more consistent and easy to understand, and it
corrects a number of spelling errors and generally improves the wording
of README.Debian, TODO, and the package descriptions.

I respectfully request that the Debian Mono Group review the patch,
comment on it, and commit any changes you like to the SVN repository.

Also, I'd like to ask for specific comments on the debconf issue; I
wrote in the bug report that I think it's unneccessary. It only asks one
question, which is really completely redundant. Opinions?

Please note that this is only intended as one step towards the next
Debian revision of the package, even though the changelog suggests
something else. There's more work to do before libapache2-mod-mono is
useable. I hope some of my changes can be accepted, so that this work
can continue.

The patch is in bug #263257.

Cheers,
