$ apt-cache show mono-mint | grep -i size
Size: 7544
installed-size: 60

So size is not a big concern. I think mint is still interesting enough to be
in Debian, but then what do I know?

May not be really a problem as long as it doesn't get pulled in by any mono
package or meta package.
