[Pkg-mono-devel] a XSP and MOD_MONO Issue

Hi!

Well, today I spent my time with one of my little packages :):
libapache_mod_mono, and well, I found some problems (or maybe
questions?):

* We also know that to run asp.net samples we need xsp (an httpd) or
apache with mod_mono included. So, if I plan to use apache and not xsp I
should add the following line to mono.conf (in /etc/apache/conf.d/):

MonoUnixSocket /tmp/mod_mono_server

So, how to create that file? to create that file we (the mod_mono) needs
the mod-mono-server that is in xsp, so, in this case we (mod_mono users)
need to install the xsp package that contains the mod-mono-server, so,
shoudn't we create another package that contains just the
mod-mono-server?.. So the question is WHY installing the xsp just for
mod-mono-server?

* Also, in one of the lines that mono.conf has I found:

Alias /mono "/usr/share/doc/xsp/test"

So, does this line needs to be added (or commented-out) just when the
user really requires the asp.net-samples package?.

I found that we need to continue discussing the xsp issue.

* However, just to remember that one thing is to build the package for
the xsp snapshot version (that is NOT compiled) than to build the
package for the xsp official version (that is ALREADY compiled).

I'll be connected tomorrow in IRC to discuss these issues.

See ya!
Pablo
