yes debian/sarge is the issue, that is debian/stable, there is no
gtk-sharp neither mono for debian/stable.
Mono is in debian/testing, but Gtk# only in debian/unstable (sid) yet,
soon Gtk# and the rest of the Mono suite should go also in
debian/testing. Since debian/stable doesn't add or update any packages,
there will be no official debian packages for it (official as in the
debian archives). Soon I will provide backports of the Mono suite for
debian/sarge...
