I am recommending to debian users to _not_ install that package.

The package is horrible, it's in not conform in any way to the Debian
Policy or anything that has todo with CLI application packaging.

Looking at the package file content it doesn't look too bad though. So
that package is just a bit better collection of files in one file than a
tarball.

Please read the Debian Policy [0], Debian New Maintainers' Guide [1]
and the CLI Policy [2] and redo the package.

I don't want to point to all things you did wrong, because they are too
many, it was simpler to say what looks good.

But some of the obvious wrong parts are: version number, priority field,
dependencies, maintainer field, long package description, provides
field.
