[Pkg-mono-devel] Late binding in VB

I've tested Mono on Ubuntu 9.04 with VB.net programs that have been in use on
MS Windows for a few months. Mono only executed simple programs with early
binding correctly. But, as soon as more complex levels of late binding
occurred, Mono failed to execute the program correctly and aborted. Among
other things, it lost track of entry points. However, I have not had time
to further analyze the problem.
Mono is not yet ready for the big time.
I've not tested C#. On Windows, VB.net executes just as fast and offers
many more built-in facilities. C++ is still the powerhouse. C# serves no
useful purpose unless you're just looking for a speedier, easier to use
version of Java.
