Jo, thanks for the reply.

So, really, the way to do it safely is to target the 2.0 framework unless
you know exactly what 3.5 features are supported, in which case you can
surgically target supported features.  Is that a reasonable statement?

My concern is with LINQ support.  From what I understand, 1.9.1 supports
LINQ To Objects and LINQ To XML.  Is that correct?
