[Pkg-mono-devel] Cannot install mono on debian - Hash file mismatch

after you add the line to sources

a little further down the instructions there are lines with instructions to install the root certificates and the mono gpg public key certficate. 

Once done then do the 

apt-get upgrade 
apt-get update

It will install without issue.
