[Pkg-mono-devel] Mono on Raspbery Pi B+ w/ Raspbian

Please pardon my (obvious) ignorance... Also, if there is a more appropriate
place to be asking for this support, kindly guide me to it, and I will
continue there.

After getting home from work I wrote a freshly downloaded image of Raspbian
to an SD card. I tried talking to mono from the command line (mono
--version) and bash told me it didn't know what I was talking about.

I then updated and upgraded via apt, and tried to install mono-complete
again. Same dependency issue (as expected).

Am I misunderstanding your meaning of 'packages already provide in
Raspbian?' I took that to mean I could simply call mono from the command
line. Am I missing something? Perhaps not even directly related to mono...
maybe some general Linux concept I am not aware of.
