I don't think this will be needed. Since you upload the real upstream 1.7.13, 
just uploading after doing some quick tests on your local machine would be safe. 

If there are problems (unlikely imo), you can upload a fixed version later.

Just take all 1_00* patches from the proposed package in debian/patches. They
are separated by issue already and should apply cleanly, since they are against 
upstream 1.7.13 release. 

But please upload plain 1.7.13 first. If all is ok, add my patches or better 
yet, wait till the 1.7.14 distributor release is out.

BTW, I use git to maintain patches against ffox for now, but since ffox is a huge
source tree I tend not to open it for public access (dialup line would suffer).
