Hello list,
I am making some more, allbeit slow progress on Seamonkey.
I figured out how to get the debug stripping to work. For future reference:
To use dh_strip --dbg-package=<packagename>.dbg you NEED to set COMPAT
to 5 (!!!) if you do not do this, no debugging for you :-(
Also, in CDBS, you need: DEB_DH_STRIP_ARGS := --dbg-package=<packagename>-dbg
I now put all the .xpt and .js files in /usr/share, with links to /usr/lib
I only get a few lintian errors now: It complains about ldconfog being
run after seamonkey-browser (I'm guessing that should be in
seamonkey-browser.postinst / postrm, but it's not!), how do I fix
that?
And I still have some complaints about missing menu names, so
seamonkey-mailnews complains about the fact that there is no
seamonkey-mailnews menu item (of course there is not, but how do I fix
this?),
That's about it!
One last thing: which version should go into Etch? 1.0.5 or 1.1 ? And
who to ask about this?
Hendrik-Jan
P.S. the new version will be 1.1a-4 and it will be uploaded somewhere
today to http://bluebox.passys.nl/Debian/Experimental
