I know my vote might not count, but I thought you guys might like to hear from 
a user.

It isn't Mozilla, but Howard Chu is patching mozilla calendar with 
sunbird/lightning updates/functionality[0]. After using both, Chu's is 
superior. If it is going to be reintroduced and unsupported anyway, perhaps 
it could be that updated version?

I think IceApe users want a calendar. Having one applica (and Opera)tion that 
can do everything is the appeal of IceApe. (If you have IceApe browser, mail, 
CHu's Calendar, MultiZilla, and enigmail, you have a super-highly-functional 
and stable all-in-one. If I wasn't so into KDE stuff now, I would still be 
using it).
