Regarding the problem with small fonts:

In SeaMonkey 1.1.1, the handling of the screen resolution has changed. 
The default resolution is now 96 units, unless the OS reports a greater 
value. If 'xdpyinfo' shows correct display dimensions, you can change 
the preference 'layout.css.dpi' from '-1' to '0' so that the OS-supplied 
value always takes precedence.
