FWIW, none of the current mozilla packages use system sqlite, since they
need mozilla specific API additions, and required
SQLITE_ENABLE_REDEF_IO, too, which was not enabled in version 3.4 in
debian (at least that was the case last time I checked (BTW, I thought I
had filed a bug, but can't find it). Anyways, mozilla trunk can now
build with unmodified system sqlite (but it needs version 3.5+, and
needs a patch that should be checked-in soon upstream), and my next
upload of xulrunner in experimental will use it (except I don't now yet
when that will happen). Anyways, that just means there is no problem
with sqlite transitioning to version 3.5 for mozilla based packages.

BTW, you forgot to send the message to the pkg-webkit-maint list, though
the team is mostly just me ;). I'll have to check how sqlite 3.5 works
with the current webkits in sid and experimental.

Cheers,

Mike
