orion-bsd:/build/manual/iceape-1.1.10$ find . -name .done | wc
     148 148 6185

It happens 148 times per build, it adds 2,5 minutes,
the i386 buildd logs shows

   Build started at 20080705-1650
   Finished at 20080705-1745

and armel

   Build started at 20080705-2309
   Finished at 20080706-1836

The addition is at about 5% on i386, slowdown will be unnoticeable on
slower architectures.

Please, could you consider adding the sleep - it fixes the cause - rebuild
of some files during "make install".
